Porn can be a debilitating addiction for many of us because it's an immediate sex high and produces a private release with little or no effort, emotional or otherwise. It's habit-forming and just good enough to mask a lot of underlying insecurities in the short-term, but like all addictions can be a very undesirable master when it takes control of our eroticism - not to mention most our waking hours. By the time we realize it's no acceptable substitute for love (or the next best thing) we may be too far gone to just put it all in a box out in the garage and go find a real guy to get it on with.
Sex with a dude requires participation, and some degree of comfort-zone invasion if you don't see sex as a terrific way for two or more men to communicate and celebrate each others attractiveness and general being. In real time, your inhibitions have to drop significantly so you can be aroused enough to cum, and if you're with another guy you'll find he's more of an emotional bust than your remote control ever could be.
Porn makes no judgment about your attractiveness or performance - why not take the quantum leap and do yourself (and all your future partners) the same favor? Why not give yourselves permission to have lousy sex if that's how it's gonna turn out? Aren't you there to just have a good time? Sometimes great things happen in that space where we thought an earth-shattering orgasm was supposed to be...
