Sean Penn Wanted More of James Franco

christian's picture

Yes, you read that right: Sean Penn wanted to do James Franco. No, no, we don't mind if you take a moment for that to sink in. As-far-as-we-know straight Daddy -- and a yummy daddy at that -- Sean Penn is on the record as having wanted to, and we quote ... well, The New York Post's Page Six quotes:

James Franco and Sean Penn from "Milk"

James Franco says Sean Penn pushed the gay sex scenes in "Milk" further than he expected. "In the original script I read, there was only one real kissing scene," Franco tells next month's Elle. "A month after [director] Gus [Van Sant] asked me to do it, they sent me another script, and on Page 5 there was a full-on love scene. And I was like, 'Gus, what the heck?' He says, 'Well, it was Sean's idea.' "

Mr. Penn was already high on our list for even doing Milk, but after this revelation all we can say is that our heartfelt thoughts, well-wishes, and extremely hot and heavy fantasies go out to Sean ... and that he and James Franco might get a chance to 'act' together again sometime in the very near future.

I knew Harvey and Scott

I knew Harvey and Scott casually, but I was best friends with Jim Rivaldo, Harvey's long-time friend and adviser. I do know that Harvey was a very sexual guy. I haven't seen the film yet, but I will soon, and I certainly look forward to the intimate scenes of the two of them. Woof!

I need to have a original

I need to have a original Harvey milk political campaign button. Any body willing to help?
Thanks

Well cheers to Sean! Over the

Well cheers to Sean! Over the years I've been disappointed time and again with actors who play gay characters then during interviews and public statements find it necesary to comment that they aren't really gay or they become apologists or feel they have to quantify the situation.

One comment that I have heard verbatum from two seperate actors is, "If I played a murderer in a film you wouldn't think I was a murderer..". That really irked me. Was that the most appropriate comparative statement the actors could come up with.

I took my hat off to Mathew Broderick. when asked about his sexuality after playing a gay character, he informed the media on several occassions that it wasn't their business and refused to confirm one way or another.

It's the job of an actor to delve and discover character, and to play it out as thoroghly and honestly as possible, even when it's difficult. That Sean desired to express the character more fully is commendable. that Franco was not, says a lot about his inadequicies as a professional actor and as a person.

It will be interesting to see what Sean says in what are likely to be a series of very predictable interviews.

Here's the NYT review of the film... very positive from such a mainstream source!

Who gives a rat's behind? If you believed everything you read in the Post you'd be at your front window holding a machine gun ready to fight off Martians.

No wonder they think we're all a bunch of silly queens when we go ga-ga every time a "celebrity" says anything that is not negative about "gay."

Get a life.

wait a minute, somebody is trying to say either of these two actors/people are Daddys? Whoever that is needs to read up and understand Neither of these two guys qualify as a daddy, at least NOT to the real-deal people, please!!
Without question Penn is the modern day Brando with his acting talent and skill's. Besides who cares who slept with whom? LAME.

I just saw "Milk" today. A very good movie and a powerful story that shows how the legacy of Harvey Milk lives in our society up to this day.
Also very appropriate now that all this situation with Prop. 8 happened in California.
I hope Sean Penn gets at least an Oscar nomination for this role, but to me he's already a winner.
